Technical Accounting Consultant - Manager

• The Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing various types of projects (e.g., 10Q/K Review, Technical Memorandum write-up, Conversion of Financial Statements to/from U.S. GAAP and IFRS, etc.) depending on the needs of his/her assigned engagement.

• The Technical Accounting Manager is a leader who works closely with the Senior Manager/Director by helping in the operational responsibility in handling clients, people and processes.

• The Technical Accounting Manager will supervise all assigned Supervisors/staff and be responsible for mentoring/coaching them and assisting them in their growth path.

• The Technical Accounting Manager is required and expected to exercise leadership skills and demonstrate total competence and experience in helping his/her Senior Manager/Director and the team as they manage in achieving the overall growth of Scrubbed, the attainment of its mission and vision, aligned with its values, and culture. All these are to be performed with utmost honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

• Lead multiple project delivery teams by cultivating and fostering long-term client relationships

• Manage engagements and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements

• Identify and resolve accounting and technical issues impacting the engagement

• Must always be updated on technical accounting developments and issues

• Demonstrate ability to lead, conduct future team learnings, and recommend process improvements

• Determine and approve staffing and other resource needs, and related engagement work schedules

• Review engagement work papers and related deliverables to ensure that quality and professional standards are met

• Delegate assignments to supervisors considering their skills, development needs, schedule and engagement economics

• Conduct or review research of complex or new accounting and financial reporting issues and prepare memorandums to support solutions

• Develop less experienced professionals by providing formal performance feedback, career counseling and mentoring to those below manager

• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities

• Attend to internal inquiries/consultation, article write up for FasTalks, prepare firmwide training materials and assessment and facilitation of trainings

• And other tasks that may assign from time to time

• Ability to explain complex financial data in clear, straightforward language

• Ability to apply knowledge in both IFRS and U.S. GAAP

• Develop and demonstrate independent thoughts and leadership ideas that can further enhance our drive towards operational and service excellence

• Demonstrate skills in effectively working with all levels of management

• Excellent leadership and management abilities with supervisory experience over multiple engagements and professional staff

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must have strong executive/boardroom presence

• Ability to support the client’s life cycle and the relationship

• Commitment to continuous training and proactive learning, for oneself and for staff
