
Engineer – Project Execution (Civil) (3-year fixed term)

- Promote safety health & environmental awareness in order to prevent injuries and/or damage.
- Ensure all incidents are reported via line management and ensure open communication is maintained for all HS&E information
- Assist the Superintendent – Project Execution in identifying resource skills and opportunities within the Project Execution team to execute tasks and act as the liaison with these resources to initiate and manage the Capital works being undertaken.
- Prepare documentation for all phases of Capital Works including; Concept Studies, User Requirements Specifications (URS); Project Execution Plans (PEP); AFE’s and Close out Reports
- Prepare (within discipline) and assist (across disciplines) in the preparation of documentation for Capital Works Contracts including; Scopes of Work (SOW); pricing schedules; Material Take Offs (MTO’s), tender reviews, tender clarifications and tender recommendations
- Develop metrics for the measurement of Engineering and Construction Works in progress, collect data for tracking progress against plan and provide inputs for weekly and monthly reports.

- Ensure AFEs and/or Professional Service Agreements and/or Contracts and/or Purchase Orders are in place and up to date with the correct approvals in place prior to work being undertaken.
- Actively look for opportunities to implement cost savings without affecting safety, schedule or quality
- Ensure works under area of control have the appropriate QA/QC documentation (inspection test plans) in place prior to the work commencing. Carry out QC inspections and ensure QC inspection test plans are signed off at the required witness and hold points prior to work progressing.
- Compile QA/QC documentation into structured hand over packs during the course of the works, finalise QA/QC hand over packs at the end of each work package/project.

- 5+ years of Project Engineering experience
- Engineering degree required
- Prior construction experience is required
- Advanced MS Office and MS Project skills
- Advanced professional report writing and cost reporting ability

- This role requires regular physical activity, occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds, and the ability to work in a mining environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity
