Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a growing savings bank that has been thriving in servicing SMEs in the market. This bank is looking for an experienced Credit Review Officer who will be responsible for independently evaluating the credit quality and credit processes of the bank. The job is based in Makati City, Philippines.Job Summary:The primary goals of loan review are to accurately evaluate the effectiveness of lending practices and credit-related supervision, identify unnecessary credit risk in the loan portfolios, confirm the effectiveness of loan grading, and effectively communicate findings to management while providing a force for positive change in the bank.Key job responsibilities include:

Conduct credit reviews and identify gaps in underwriting, approval, monitoring, relationship management, and credit administration activities of the commercial loan portfolio.
Validate credit/financial information to verify the creditworthiness of the borrower/guarantors and the validity of the loan/credit relationship.
Validate selected loan and collateral documentation for adequacy and adherence to loan policy.
Prepare periodic Risk Assessments to validate or revise the risk-based ranking.
Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of ongoing risk-based credit review.
Identify existing and/or emerging issues relating to credit quality and risk.
Identify portfolio concentrations.
Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, credit administrators, and other management in a logical and positive manner, providing positive and helpful feedback based on the result of the credit review.
Own and manage follow-up items resulting from the review and report the resolution of those items in the review.
Conduct stress tests and recommend policy enhancements based on the result of the credit review.

Key job requirements include:

College Degree, preferably a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of loan review, commercial lending, commercial loan underwriting, and/or commercial loan portfolio management experience.
Computer literacy. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Salary range: PHP 30,000.00 - PHP 40,000.00 per month
