Freelance Video Editor (Remote) Hourly Rate: $5-$10 USD | Part-Time, Ongoing We're looking for a talented and reliable freelance video editor to join our creative team on an ongoing basis. This role is perfect for someone with a strong eye for storytelling, pacing, and detail - someone who can take raw footage and bring it to life with clean, compelling edits. About the Role: You'll be working on a wide variety of video projects, from social media content and product promos to branded storytelling pieces. Our ideal candidate is efficient, organized, and understands how to balance speed with quality. You'll handle the majority of the editing process - from rough cut through cleanup - and work closely with our team to align on feedback and creative direction. What You'll Do: Assemble rough cuts and refine video edits based on creative briefs Select and sync the best takes, b-roll, and audio Add basic motion graphics, sound design, music, and color correction as needed Organize project files clearly for easy handoff and review Respond to feedback and make adjustments promptly Collaborate with our team via Slack and shared drives What We're Looking For: Strong portfolio of short-form content (social, brand, product, etc.) Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut are a plus) Solid understanding of pacing, framing, and modern editing styles Ability to follow brand guidelines and work within established templates Organized file management and ability to work with cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox) A proactive communicator who is dependable and detail-oriented Comfortable working on quick turnarounds when needed Bonus Points: Experience with color grading and basic audio mixing Familiarity with YouTube or social media formatting requirements Basic motion design skills (After Effects) This is a long-term opportunity for the right person, with regular weekly work and potential to grow.
