- Prepare and lodge individual, partnership, trust, and company tax returns in compliance with ATO regulations.
- Handle BAS, IAS, FBT, GST, and payroll tax preparation and lodgment.
- Conduct tax planning and provide advice on tax minimization strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws, regulations, and reporting deadlines.
- Perform reconciliations, review accounts, and maintain accurate tax records.
- Liaise with the ATO regarding queries, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Assist clients or management with structuring businesses in a tax-effective manner.
- Provide support during EOFY reporting, audits, and financial statement preparation.
- Stay updated with changes in Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Manage calendars, emails, and scheduling tasks.
- Organize digital files and documentation.
- Conduct online research, data entry, and reporting.
- Provide customer support through email or chat.
- Assist with administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant in Australia (public practice or corporate).
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws, GST, BAS, and superannuation compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters in simple terms.
