About the job: As part of the Legal & Compliance team at Synpulse, the Legal & Compliance Specialist will play a key role in contract lifecycle management-from drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to ensuring compliance with global and local legal requirements. This role requires a licensed lawyer with demonstrated experience in commercial contract management and the ability to provide proactive legal and compliance support across business units in APAC, Europe, and the US. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Business teams, Finance, People & Culture, Operations, et. al.) and external clients/partners to ensure that contractual arrangements protect the company's interests while aligning with applicable laws, regulations, and Synpulse's compliance framework. Key Responsibilities Contract Management With guidance from Group Head, draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), subcontracting agreements, and other client/vendor agreements. Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, risk allocation, and compliance with group standards and local laws. Ensure consistent application of contract templates, fallback positions, and approval workflows. Maintain contract repository and tracking tools to ensure timely renewals and compliance. Compliance & Risk Management Support the implementation of risk and compliance frameworks including anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, and data privacy. Support third-party risk management processes, including conducting and reviewing clients due diligence, responding to inquiries, and acting as primary POC with internal stakeholders for compliance matters. Conduct legal and regulatory research to support business operations and policy development. Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Advisory & Support Act as a point of contact for business stakeholders on legal and compliance queries. Provide training and awareness sessions to internal teams on contract and compliance matters. Support the Group Head of Legal & Compliance in strategic projects, governance, and reporting. Perform general and administrative tasks necessary to support the Legal and Compliance operations. About you: Education & License: Juris Doctor / Bachelor of Laws, with valid license to practice law in the Philippines (or another common law jurisdiction). Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in contract management, corporate/commercial law, or legal advisory, preferably in a multinational or consulting environment. Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German or French is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools an advantage.
