The Backend Developer - Mid-Level is responsible for building and maintaining server-side logic, APIs, and core service integrations for client-facing applications. This role ensures high performance, scalability, and security of backend systems while collaborating closely with frontend developers, architects, and product owners to deliver enterprise-grade platforms.Development Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend code and APIs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and performance.
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by frontend teams with server-side logic.
- Implement secure and well-structured API layers for system interactions.
- Develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to interface with external systems and services.
- Manage integrations with CRMs, databases, authentication systems, or CX tools.
- Ensure API endpoints are secure, tested, and well-documented.
- Conduct unit testing and peer code reviews for backend modules.
- Enforce secure coding practices and data protection standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with PMs, frontend developers, and QA to deliver project milestones.
- Maintain clean documentation for system design and implementation logic.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and the likes.
- Experience with customer platforms like Zendesk, Salesforce, or Genesys is a plus.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and monitoring tools.
- Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and reusable code.
