About The Job Area Coordinator About the role: The role will ensure the Project Benefits, as defined in the Project Management Plan & Build Sequence Plan, are supported. Under the supervision of the Construction Manager, Area Coordinator ensures work packages of various trades are being executed and completed on time, within the budget and compliant with the quality standards. They do this by effectively leading a team of trades, through the relevant trade supervisors, to deliver high levels of performance in completing a given scope for an area of the vessel. Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Collaborate with Supervisors to establish a weekly plan that includes the following key deliverables: Information, materials, resources, special tools, vessel access, production quality work, requests for inspections and HSEQ. Provide assistance to the Construction Manager with regards to resource mix, technical expertise, efficiency, performance and opportunities for improvement. Provide assistance to the Construction Manager in reviewing, supporting and communicating production control deliverables Work packs, drawings, schedules, resource allocation, quality requirements and budgets. Responsible for the delivery of a planned work scope, relative to a certain area of a vessel, achieved by coordinating multiple trade disciplines. Monitor the task, Work pack requirements, schedule, and provide constructive feedback on performance. Qualifications Relevant or Aligned Trade Qualification Senior First Aid Leadership Development HSEQ Development Construction/Project Management roles desired, preferably in ship construction or maintenance Demonstrate related technical skills, vessel outfit (pipe, electrical, fabrication, fitout) Demonstrate practical Leadership skills; e.g strong interpersonal skills, people management and communication skills Strong time management, resource planning and scheduling skills.
