Employment Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead and oversee the full accounts payable function of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a deep understanding of AP processes, and hands-on experience with Yardi. This role is responsible for managing the AP team, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments, maintaining strong financial controls, and improving process efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department and supervise the AP team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Oversee AP processes within Yardi, ensuring proper setup, coding, and system optimization.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures for accounts payable.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow related to vendor payments.
  • Review and approve high-value invoices and payment batches.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to support month-end and year-end closing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows, automation, and reporting.
  • Prepare and present AP reports and financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Train, mentor, and develop AP team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of Accounts Payable experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience using Yardi (required).
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, financial controls, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
