About the Role: We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Intern to support our Finance team. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in financial operations, reporting, and administrative tasks in accordance with accounting standards and tax regulations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. Learning Opportunities: Exposure to real-world finance and accounting process in a corporate setting. Hands-on experience with BIR-compliant documentation and reporting. Mentorship from well experienced and top-tier finance professionals. Understanding of the end-to-end accounting cycle as it applies to a start-up, environmental services, multi-national company. Key Responsibilities : . 1. Filing and Document Organization Organize and maintain financial documents, invoices, receipts, and accounting records. Sort and file hard copy or electronic financial records according to established filing systems. Label and index financial documents for easy retrieval. Ensure the proper storage of sensitive financial documents, such as tax records and contracts. 2. Data Entry Enter financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets. Update general ledgers and journals with accurate transaction details. Assist in inputting and reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions. 3. Invoice Processing and AP & AR Support Verify accuracy of invoices against purchase orders or contracts. Scan and file copies of sent invoices for record-keeping purposes. Assist in the collection of payments or follow up on overdue invoices. 4. Sorting and Distributing Mail Sort incoming invoices and financial documents from vendors. Distribute incoming correspondence to the relevant accounting staff. Help prepare outgoing mail related to accounting, such as payment checks 6. Assist with Financial Audits - BIR and External Auditors Help prepare documentation and schedules needed for audits. Gather and organize information requested by auditors. Help scan, copy, and index financial records for audit purposes. Requirements: Educational Background : Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Economics, or a related business course. Analytical Skills : Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, perform accurate calculations, and interpret trends. Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in completing financial tasks Proficiency in Tools : Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheets. Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills Work Arrangement - Hybrid: This role offers a hybrid model, combining the flexibility of remote work with weekly office presence for team integration.
