Shift: Monday to Friday; 7AM - 4PMAbout the roleThe Senior Accountant will be working closely with the client to support the business and manage the following tasks:
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for clients.
- Ensure compliance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations and deadlines.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Provide advice on GST, PAYG, and other tax-related matters.
- Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Liaise with the ATO on behalf of clients regarding BAS-related issues.
- Provide training and support to clients on accounting software and BAS preparation.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding and experience of BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, and other tax obligations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
