- Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries in Cebu to use our payment solutions (e.g., POS terminals, QR payments, e-wallets).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants in your assigned area to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction.
- Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDRs), commercial terms, and service agreements.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (product, tech, and operations) to ensure seamless onboarding and integration.
- Act as the main point of contact for merchant inquiries, support, and issue escalations.
- Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify opportunities for growth within your territory.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the local payments and fintech space.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce.
- Proven experience in closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
- Can speak and understand Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
