We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions.Job SummaryThe Senior Roads and Highways Engineer at TYLin plays a key role in delivering innovative, resilient, and sustainable transportation infrastructure. This role involves planning, design, and technical oversight of road and highway projects, ensuring solutions reflect TYLin’s global standards of engineering excellence and client-focused delivery. The engineer provides expertise in geometric design, pavement engineering, drainage, and traffic management, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. As a senior technical contributor, the role also mentors junior engineers and champions TYLin’s commitment to creating connected, future-ready mobility systems.Responsibilities & QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities

Design and develop road and highway plans, including alignments, horizontal and vertical profiles, cross-sections, and structural support elements.
Prepare interchange layouts, develop and evaluate design alternatives, and convert final selections into decision matrices in accordance with industry standards.
Develop intersection designs and alternatives based on provided parameters.
Prepare cost estimates and construction programs for proposed works.
Ensure all designs comply with local regulations (Department of Public Works) and international standards (AASHTO).
Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of production drawings.
Prepare design reports and participate in coordination meetings as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a postgraduate degree is an advantage.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, OpenRoads, CAD platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong client-focused mindset, committed to delivering optimal and practical solutions.
Demonstrated commitment to innovation through the development of efficient and effective engineering solutions.
High level of integrity, with a consistent focus on ethical, fair, and sustainable practices.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within diverse and inclusive teams to achieve technical excellence.
