We are looking for a passionate leader and engineer to join our global team as a foundational member of our new Manila team. You will recruit, train, and organize a high-performing engineering function, designing and maintaining robust systems for processing and analyzing large datasets. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers to develop scalable solutions and shape our data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Lead recruitment and mentoring of new team members in Manila. Create efficient batch and streaming data pipelines using Apache Airflow, Kafka, and Flink. Build scalable data warehousing solutions with Snowflake. Develop cloud-based systems using AWS or GCP. Enhance CI/CD processes with Jenkins and GitLab. Oversee maintenance and monitoring of data applications and pipelines. Collaborate with stakeholders to create analytical products and services. Experience / Competences: Essential: 5+ years in data engineering or a similar role. Bachelor&aposs degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Experience in hiring and mentoring junior engineers. Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation frameworks (e.g., Pandas, Pyspark). Familiarity with REST APIs, AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow. Strong communication skills for interacting with business and technical teams.
