Chemical Technician

• Perform sample preparation in accordance to prescribed standards and procedures.
• Prepare reagents and standard/working solutions in accordance with SOPs.
• Assist in performing wet and spectroscopy analyses in compliance with SOPs and quality control guidelines.
• Ensures systematic workflow of analysis by noting turnaround time and priority of analyses.
• Encodes complete and correct results in the LIMS.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring Housekeeping and Environmental condition of the laboratory and submits with approval to Senior Chemical Technician/Chemical Technician III.
• Assist in preparing and updating Sample Disposal Monitoring with approval to Senior Chemical Technician/ Chemical Technician III.
• Ensures that test equipment and instruments are properly operated and in good condition.
• Reports test equipment and instrument breakdown to immediate superior.
• Monitors inventory of glassware, reagents, chemicals, and other consumables.
• Check and receive incoming sample for analysis.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring of reagent and glassware inventory for disposal Senior Chemical Technician/ Chemical Technician III.
• Ensure the conformance to Laboratory QMS i.e., QC charting, method verification, etc.
• Submits request for laboratory supplies and consumables. Ensures a working stock of consumables sufficient for uninterrupted workflow.
• Maintains the proper housekeeping of the laboratory and integrity of sample.
• Maintains confidentiality of test results and other pertinent information.
• Prepares other relevant duties that may be assigned by the immediate superiors.
