Job Summary The Civil and Structural Engineer will be a key contributor to the planning, design, and execution of renewable energy projects in the Philippines, specifically in the solar, onshore wind, and offshore wind sectors. This position focuses on delivering structurally sound, regulation-compliant, and cost-efficient engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. Primary Responsibilities 1. Design and Engineering Support Conduct site evaluations, including geotechnical and topographic studies for solar, wind, and battery energy storage system (BESS) installations. Prepare and review engineering designs for foundations (solar PV and wind turbines), access roads, drainage systems, and substations. Ensure compliance with Philippine building codes and international standards (e.g., ASCE, Eurocodes, ACI). Work closely with EPC contractors, consultants, and internal teams to enhance design efficiency, constructability, and longevity. 2. Offshore Wind Engineering Contribute to the structural design and analysis of offshore foundations (e.g., monopile, jacket, floating types). Assess metocean data and seabed characteristics to determine structural impacts. Collaborate with specialists in marine engineering, geotechnics, and naval architecture to ensure technical feasibility. 3. Construction Monitoring and Quality Control Review construction-related documentation such as method statements, design drawings, and material specifications. Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety protocols. Conduct field inspections and provide engineering solutions for on-site issues. 4. Regulatory and Permitting Compliance Support the permitting process with local authorities (e.g., DENR, DOE, LGUs). Ensure all civil and structural aspects meet relevant Philippine codes, including seismic and environmental standards. 5. Cost and Risk Management Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and risk assessments for civil works. Identify and propose value engineering strategies to optimize cost without compromising quality or safety. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Professional licensure preferred). At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors. Strong advantage for candidates with offshore wind and marine structure experience. Skilled in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS) and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit). Familiar with Philippine building codes, seismic considerations, and geotechnical design principles. Demonstrated ability to coordinate across stakeholders and manage engineering deliverables effectively. Show more Show less
