- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- System Administration: Perform expert-level system administration tasks for both Linux (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments, including configuration, patching, security hardening, and performance tuning.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups (NSGs), and monitoring tools to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively identify and resolve issues and optimize resource utilization and costs.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to streamline operational tasks, deployment processes, and system configurations.
- Troubleshooting: Serve as a subject matter expert for complex technical issues, providing in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure and application problems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and networking teams to support new projects, improve existing systems, and ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all cloud infrastructure, systems, and procedures.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with core services on both AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS) and Azure (e.g., VMs, Blob Storage, VNET, Azure AD, SQL Database).
- System Administration: Deep, hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting both Linux (e.g., command line tools, shell scripting, package management) and Windows Server (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell) operating systems.
- IaC and Automation: Strong proficiency with Terraform or a similar IaC tool. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
- Scripting: Advanced scripting skills in at least one language, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Networking: Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or other relevant AWS certifications.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or other relevant Azure certifications.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with database administration (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and tools.
