A Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying business growth opportunities, such as new products, territories, strategies and techniques. The BDO must also identify services that are underperforming and develop strategies to increase company sales and improve existing sales proposals. About the Role The Business Development Officer plays a crucial role in driving the company&aposs growth by identifying new business opportunities and enhancing existing services. Responsibilities Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales and company revenue. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to foster business growth. Create and present business proposals to potential clients. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies. Provide training and mentoring to other members of the organization for products and industries of focus. Attend events related to focus industries and create networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services. Acquire new customers from new territories and other initiatives and tools used for market expansion. Coordinate with the sales team to develop new sales opportunities. Analyze customer feedback data to determine customer satisfaction and propose improvements. Provide insight into product development and competitive positioning. Submit regular required reports. Prepare and conduct product presentations. Update the CRM regularly to manage customer information. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the direct superior. Qualifications Bachelor&aposs degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective written, oral communication and presentation skills. Willing to travel outside the region of assignment. Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional PR Skills. Knowledgeable about general construction and design. Show more Show less
