Designer

• Design supplements, advertorials, print ads for special executions, custom publications, section pages, ad materials based on organization and client’s specification and requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and visual impact across all design deliverables

• Conduct regular checks to ensure design integrity, accuracy, and adherence to editorial style.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards, rights management and internal editorial policies
• Collaborate with editors, reporters, and photographers to enhance storytelling through effective design.
• Uphold the publication’s visual identity and design standards for the integrated newsroom.
• Implement feedback from Art Section Sr. Officer, editors and writers to continuously improve design outputs.

• Participates in the editorial planning meetings to understand story angles and design requirements.
• Support the development of visuals that can be leveraged across print, digital, and social media.

• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely design handoffs and smooth publication processes.

• Support internal training or team discussions on design best practices, tools, or new trends
• Perform other related arts and design tasks as may be assigned.

• Preferably with 1–2 years of relevant experience as a graphic design, preferably in a newsroom or print environment.
• Experience working with editorial teams and an understanding of publication design processes is an advantage.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and other design software.
• Strong sense of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communicator and team player, able to collaborate across departments
• Familiarity with the integrated newsroom principles is an advantage
