- Supports aircraft Galley Inserts (GAINS) and Lighting products and programs.
- Complete reliability engineering tasks under the supervision of senior reliability engineers/product support engineers.
- Analyze and categorize repair records provided by internal and external MROs.
- Utilize categorized repair data to perform failure mode analysis and create failure mode paretos.
- Complete reliability assessments, which includes performing reliability predictions to establish MTBF/MTBUR estimates and component failure rates.
- Create product reliability presentations which summarize reliability performance and recommended corrective actions for internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with production, MRO technical personnel, product support, and engineering to identify new and emerging product failure modes and ascertain the effectivity of released corrective actions.
- Support the Global Engineering and Technology Center in India (GETC-I) in the development of the GAINS and Lighting Tableau dashboard(s).
- Support the GETC-I by providing monthly repair record updates needed to maintain the Tableau reliability dashboard(s).
- Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Experience and knowledge in reliability engineering, including processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- Previous experience working with GAINS and/or Lighting products.
- Familiar with GAINS and/or Lighting product designs, common failure modes and repair processes.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Understanding of quality management systems and methodologies like Six Sigma or Total Quality Management.
- Capability to analyze data using statistical methods to predict and improve reliability.
- Knowledge in basic statistics.
- Proficient in excel & power point.
