- Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications.
- Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit or due to handling.
- Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications.
- Performs basic First Article Inspections (FAI) and conformity inspections.
- Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.
- Gathers data for preparation of technical and daily output reports. Prepare daily inspection results and reports.
- Gathers data to prepare inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
- Knowledgeable about 7 Basic Quality Tools for Process Improvement
- Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
- Associate Degree or other 2-year post high school training
- 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient.
- Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills
- Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year
- Must not be under Performance Improvement Plan
- With at least a year in his/her current position
