Employment Type: Full-timeReady to do work that actually excites you?This is a full-time, drafter role for a interior and building design studio located in Wynnum, QLD. The drafter will be tasked with drafting residential plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the design team, and ensuring all design outputs meet client expectations and project goals.What You'll Do:
You'll be the kind of person who:
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for residential projects using REVIT.
- Assist in developing construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant building codes and council requirements.
- Update and revise drawings based on feedback from senior staff, designers, engineers, or clients.
- Maintain drawing files, project records, and documentation in accordance with office standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings align with project timelines and quality standards.
- Stay updated with residential building code changes, drafting standards, and technical requirements.
We're looking for someone who:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Interior Design is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in residential drafting or architectural documentation.
- Proficiency in REVIT for residential design and documentation.
- Strong understanding of residential building codes, construction methods, and documentation standards.
- Ability to produce accurate drawings with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with designers, engineers, and project teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple revisions and deadlines.
- Ability to interpret design concepts and translate them into clear technical documentation.
