- Design motion graphics, product animations, overlays, and visual effects in After Effects that feel native to Gen‑Z sports culture.
- Translate real‑time sports trends and memes into thumb‑stopping content.
- Follow templates from our CMO/designer while adding your own creative twist.
- Storyboard and produce narrative edits for trailers and campaigns. Plus down the line work on longer forms YouTube content.
- Optimise aspect ratios, captions, and pacing per platform to maximise watch‑time and shares.
- Maintain a clean library of templates, presets, and project files.
- Collaborate with marketing and product to align storytelling with brand goals.
- Stay plugged into sports, meme, and creator culture to pitch breakthrough ideas.
- Work on both real-time sports content and more elaborate weekly or fortnightly editorial projects.
- Use templates provided by the graphic designer or collaborate on creating new ones.
- Manage content creation across all sports, prioritizing high-interest American sports.
- Find and source sports clips independently when needed.
- Determine how content should be staged and posted.
- Instant cultural relevance — edits must feel like they were made by someone living on sports Twitter & TikTok.
- Hook viewers in the first two seconds; snap‑fast pacing, clean typography.
- On‑brand colour, motion language, and sound design that reinforce the company.
- Mobile‑first framing and caption strategy for silent autoplay.
- Iterate fast — review performance data and evolve formats.
- Accessibility‑minded: readable captions, adequate contrast.
- Maintain flexibility with working hours to cover major sports events in different time zones.
- Keep asset libraries and workflows organized for efficient future use.
- Success will be measured by the speed of turnaround from when a sporting event happens to when the content is clipped and posted.
- Social media performance including views and shareability of posted content will be key performance indicators.
- The ability to select the right sporting moments and get content to market quickly will be evaluated.
- Understanding of viral culture on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter platforms is essential for success in the role.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional editing experience preferred, though exceptional portfolios from less experienced candidates will be considered.
- Sports industry experience is an advantage but not required.
- Understanding of the relative popularity of different sports in the U.S. market.
- Showreel, proving you make content people re‑watch and share.
- Exceptional expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, these are the core, must-have skills for this role, with additional strength in CapCut or similar tools.
- Deep grasp of Gen‑Z meme culture, TikTok pacing, and viral hooks.
- Ability to spot high‑impact moments across NBA, NFL, soccer, UFC, etc., without watching full games.
- Comfort operating in a real‑time, high‑velocity environment.
- Genuine passion for sport and the creator economy.
- Clear, fast communication and willingness to iterate on feedback.
- Short‑form editing chops on par with @bymaximise.
- Motion‑design chops on par with @bricksdept or @sutoxoriginals.
- Past content with documented viral performance (share links + metrics).
- Experience with 3‑D product animation or AI‑based camera/motion tools (e.g., Veo 3).
- Familiarity with sports‑betting / fantasy‑sports content.
- Sound design chops beyond basic music beds (Foley, SFX layering, mastering).
- Real‑time copyright & fair‑use savvy — confident disputing claims and sourcing alt clips fast.
