We are seeking a Sales Engineer with strong financial acumen and e-commerce experience, particularly in Amazon sales and advertising, to support a fast-growing retail and agency operation. This role blends financial modeling, forecasting, and P&L management with the ability to interpret and optimize e-commerce performance data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working with large datasets. You will play a key role in reducing the time senior leadership spends on data entry and financial analysis, allowing them to focus on strategy and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Amazon Forecasting & Financial Modeling (Approx. 50% of Role) Populate and maintain pre-built forecast templates with historical sales and advertising data (provided to you in spreadsheets or via internal dashboards). Analyze key metrics, including TACoS, ACOS, ROAS, growth percentages, and profitability targets. Adjust inputs to align with strategic mandates (e.g., target % growth while meeting efficiency and profitability KPIs). Apply critical thinking to model the impact of pricing changes, ad spend adjustments, and other levers on demand and velocity. Collaborate with leadership to review and refine forecasts for both wholesale and agency business models. 2. P&L Management (Approx. 50% of Role) Work closely with the finance team to prepare, update, and maintain deal-specific P&Ls for wholesale buy-sell operations. Ensure accuracy and consistency in data ingestion from multiple sources (sales reports, financial software, etc.). Follow existing SOPs while continuously identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation. Verify data accuracy across multiple periods and correct discrepancies. 3. (Nice-to-Have) HubSpot Data Hygiene Assist in maintaining CRM data quality, including duplicate removal and report generation. Support RevOps by reducing manual cleanup work for other team members. Qualifications Must-Have: Strong financial analysis, bookkeeping, or controller-level experience. Familiarity with e-commerce performance metrics, particularly Amazon advertising terms and KPIs (TACoS, ACOS, ROAS). Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including formulas and data manipulation. High attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies in data. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills-ability to see how changes in one metric affect others. Comfort following detailed SOPs while also suggesting process improvements. Nice-to-Have: Experience working in or with Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central (not required to pull reports, but helpful for context). Knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM systems. Experience in a CPG, retail, or e-commerce agency environment. Show more Show less
