Company Description The Forest Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources provides technical guidance for the effective protection, development, and conservation of forestlands and watersheds. The Bureau is committed to achieving sustainable forest management through science and principles of good forest governance. It plays a crucial role in recommending policies and programs that enhance environmental conservation efforts. Role Description This is a temporary on-site role based in Quezon City for an Enterprise Development Specialist (Technical Assistant). The Enterprise Development Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance on FMB&aposs Enterprise Development Program for its reforestation programs, and tenured areas under DENR&aposs jurisdiction. Scope of Work Assess and coordinate with the Regional Offices on existing and potential enterprise initiatives of POs engaged in E/NGP commodity production (e.g., fruit trees, bamboo, cacao, coffee); Assist in identification of viable livelihood and enterprise opportunities based on local resources, market demand, and organizational capacity; Assist in the formulation of policy on enterprise development, including business planning, financial management, product development, establishing market linkages, partnerships, and access to financing or support services through value chain analysis, and stakeholder and resource mapping, etc.; Coordinate with DENR, LGUs, DA, DTI, and other relevant agencies to support enterprise development activities; Assist in formulation of activity designs for FMB-initiated trainings and capacity-building sessions with DENR and/or POs on enterprise development; Support the integration of value chain approaches in NGP implementation; and Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship, Agricultural and Applied Economics, Community Development and related fields; Has at least 1 year experience in working with communities, value chain analysis, enterprise and livelihood development, social enterprise, and other related expertise; Ability to work on-site in Quezon City; and Experience in forest management or environmental conservation is a plus.
