- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices, process payments, and ensure timely collections.
- Expense Management: Review and reconcile expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist with maintaining the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare various financial reports and statements as needed, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
- Assist with Audits: Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and assisting auditors with inquiries.
- Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the finance team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry is a plus but not required.
- Able to work in the US Eastern time zone.
