- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and directions from senior chefs.
- Prepare simple dishes and garnishes under supervision.
- Support the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes.
- Learn and understand the various cooking techniques and methods used in the kitchen.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces.
- Ensure all food storage areas are clean and properly organized.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and quantity.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Head Chef.
