The successful (OMC) candidate provides support for the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS Network Infrastructure, and the Special Access System Network Infrastructure.The work environment:Location: National Capital Region (NCR) Washington, DCType of environment: OfficeWork schedule: CONUS Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engineering and installation (E&I) support for inside/outside plant LAN wiring & fiber optic cable terminations
  • Provides detailed engineering implementation plans, diagrams, List of Materials, and project schedule in support of E&I efforts. Coordination of system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies
  • Maintain Network infrastructure as-built cabling/fiber documentation and diagrams
  • Coordinate with JSP/DISA and other Contractor personnel to provide support for WAN optimization and redundancy.
  • Assists with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues with network infrastructure and/or components.
  • Evaluates and monitors health and performance of the network including hardware and management software.
  • Develops and maintains a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
  • Assists with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all network configuration upgrades, additions, or revisions for customer approval before implementation.
  • Supports network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to ensure attainment of performance and availability objectives.
  • Evaluates and reports on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network.
  • Evaluates and recommends changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices.
  • Follows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.
Education & Experience:The candidate must meet the below experience requirements:
  • 7+ years related technical experience with Microsoft Administration in an enterprise environment, including Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and Visual Basic Scripting.
  • 4+ years of experience working tasks of similar size and scope, with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment.
  • 4+ years of experience with the following IT disciplines: security configuration of Windows Server/Windows 10 and/or Windows 11, Microsoft SCCM or similar technologies, maintaining PKI infrastructure, implementing and managing VDI infrastructure, and server Virtualization Technologies.
  • Preferred; 3 years’ experience with Vormetric data encryption solutions.
  • Must Be IAT III
CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Continuing Education (CE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Must have the Required Computing Environment Certifications listed below:
-VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AND one of the following:-Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Core Infrastructure, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification.
  • In-depth understanding and experience with the DOD Architecture Framework and other key DOD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.
  • Installation, operations, and maintenance of the below products and services:
-Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016.-Server Virtualization Technologies-Microsoft SCCM-Backup Solutions (such as CommVault, Veritas, etc.)- Microsoft Active Directory and supporting technology (DNS, Group Policy, etc…)-Maintaining PKI Infrastructure
  • Installation, operations, and maintenance of the below systems infrastructure components:
-Servers & System appliances-NAS/SAN Storage/Tape Backups desirable-VMWare vSphere & vCenter
  • Deploying/managing/optimizing servers in virtualized (VMWare) environment. g. Developing & utilizing PowerShell scripts.
  • Utilizing change and configuration management processes and procedures (ITIL)
  • Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
