Role description: To develop industry knowledge of international design standards through internal technical training, certifications and continuing education. To acquire the technical knowledge and practical skills through involvement with various projects. To provide technical support into assigned projects under the professional supervision from Senior Engineers, Principal Engineers, and/or Design Managers. To acquire leadership, people management, and delegating skills. Responsibilities Role Accountabilities The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVE Ensure engineering design teams and AutoCAD & BIM resources are working effectively and efficiently. Ensure compliance with scope of works, time schedule and cost control. CUSTOMER PERSPECTIVE Liaise with Arcadis lead offices representatives and other consultants as appropriate to the project Working to achieve project delivery on time to budget and to a high standard in accordance with Client expectations INTERNAL PERSPECTIVE Responsible for collaboration with the GEC MEP engineering teams function leaders and project planners. Responsible for communication and coordination with Arcadis lead offices project managers. Responsible for project planning of resources, delivery schedule, budget and change control. Responsible for monitoring the delivery of project work in terms of earned value, programme and budget. Responsible for overall coordination of project work between the MEP engineering discipline teams. Ensuring change and risks are identified to appropriate parties. Responsible to ensure that the required QA/QC procedures are undertaken. LEARNING GROWTH PERSPECTIVE Training, mentoring and coaching of junior staff Be aware of and have appropriate knowledge of company quality control systems Continue with professional development Qualifications & Experience: 15 Years minimum of experience in MEP Engineering with an emphasis on Building Services systems, with the majority of experience from a Consultancy background. Degree Qualified and/or with relevant experience working towards being a Chartered Engineer. Member of PMI or APM or equivalent professional body of Project Management. Sound knowledge and experience in the design of MEP Engineering Services Familiar with modern computer modelling & analysis applications Familiar with the assessment and calculations of Engineering design Competent at coordinating with the overall requirements of MEPF system designs and other aspects of building engineering Familiar with design to international and local standards. Good presentation skills and experience.
