Job Purpose: Manage overall performance of preventive maintenance team and plant maintenance strategies to achieve continuous and reliable operations in a safe, efficient, timely and cost effective manner and in compliance environmental and safety requirements.Job Scope: Develop, plan, organize, leads plant maintenance strategies and its implementation for disciplines in the field of Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Proactive Maintenance. Evaluate and analyze performance to ensure continuous improvement.Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction for the mechanical planners, electrical instrumentation & automation planners, condition monitoring engineers, reliability engineer, and lubrication supervisor with his technicians consistent with Holcim values, and ensure alignment with plant and company goals.Primary Accountabilities & Expected Outcome * Develop, Plan , Organize Plant Maintenance Strategies for disciplines in the field of Corrective Maintenance Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Proactive MaintenanceOutcome:
  • Reliability programs are in-placed using proactive maintenance approach such as reliability analysis (Risk Based Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Equipment Criticality Analysis, and also includes Root Cause Failure Analysis) to meet expected equipment availability and reliability
  • Condition monitoring activities implemented including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis, oil analysis, wear measurement and other condition monitoring systems as necessary to meet expected equipment availability and reliability
  • Lubrication programs implemented using lubrication principles combined with industry standard best practices to meet expected equipment availability and reliability and within target lubrication consumption
  • Mechanical and EIA preventive and corrective activities done through effective planning and scheduling that meets Holcim standard and set targets on planning & scheduling and cost (centralize planning)
  • Creation of short and long term objectives and programs using Plant Master Plan, Master Schedule, Replacement Strategy, and established critical spare parts on optimum inventory level to ensure continued operational excellence of plant equipment
  • Annual budget generated within acceptable level and according to business needs
  • Closely coordinate and interacts with OEM representatives, HGRS, and other 3rd party groups or individuals to properly plan maintenance improvements and initiatives
  • Manage day-to-day execution and accountability for mechanical planners, electrical Instrumentation & automation planners, condition monitoring engineers, reliability engineer, and lubrication supervisor with his technicians
Outcome:
  • Safety controls are considered and implemented in all the activities conducted by preventive maintenance section
  • Leads reliability analysis to come up with appropriate PMR’s, Contingency Plans, and Critical Spare parts
  • Leads root cause failure analysis to improve MTBF and prevent recurring failures
  • Leads criticality analysis (ABC rating) to properly assess equipment and as basis for prioritization of work
  • Leads condition monitoring activities to capture potential problems that may result to equipment failure and come up with recommended actions
  • Leads lubrication activities to ensure equipment is running under optimum condition
  • Planning and scheduling of mechanical and EIA activities to ensure implementation of preventive and corrective actions
  • Coordinate to corrective group (Mechanical and EIA) for the actual implementation of maintenance activities throughout the plant to ensure plans are carried out according to plan and expected outcome
  • Critical spare parts are available with right inventory level to support continuous operation of the plant including the PMR’s for critical spares
  • Manage third party contractors in the implementation of contracted services
  • Manage implementation of improvement projects including CAPEX projects
  • Approves uploading of PMR’s in the system (SAP) for Mechanical, EIA, and PM sections
  • Approves change in master data (HAC and BOM)
  • Implementation of activities (annual, 13 week, weekly and daily plans)
  • Decides on issues arising out in the daily maintenance activities. Restore equipment operational status at the shortest & safest way
  • Evaluate performance to ensure continuous improvement
Outcome:
  • Accountable for management and overall results of the preventive maintenance section based on defined KPI´s. This includes support and development of maintenance budgets, capital requirements.
  • Lead MTBF and NAI improvement and sustainability of major equipment.
  • Evaluate and analyze preventive maintenance group performance to optimize overall equipment efficiency at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance utilizing Holcim systems, such as iCIF SAP, PMA, CBM, RCA, FMEA, etc.,
  • Monitor, evaluate, analyze, and control maintenance cost to attain targets
  • Manage 3rd party costs and risks to optimize use of manpower resources.
  • Responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction for the planning group, condition monitoring group, reliability engineering, and lubrication team in a manner consistent with Holcim values, and ensure alignment with plant and company goals.

  • Support, demonstrate, and facilitate the concepts of development and involvement of employees, continuous learning and continuous improvement in a values based high performance organization.
  • Conduct dialogue and develop improvement plans of subordinates

Skills/Competencies Required:
  • Knowledge on Principles of lubrication & application including bearing technology, condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, motor circuit analysis, Reliability Analysis, Planning & Scheduling
  • Good understanding of mechanical system such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshooting of mechanical ,electrical, instrument & automation, and production related problems
  • Understanding of cement manufacturing process including operation and maintenance of main equipment
