
Patient Service Representative

- Greet callers in a professional, courteous manner and address patient needs promptly
- Schedule primary care appointments including annual exams, chronic care followups, acute visits, and preventive screenings
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, including co-pays, deductibles, and network status
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in Athena EHR
- Assist with patient portal setup and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding test results, referrals, and follow-up instructions in alignment with practice policies
- 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine or internal medicine
- Proficiency in Athena EHR, including scheduling, documentation, and patient communication features
- Strong knowledge of primary care visit types, referral processes, and insurance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in family medicine/internal medicine scheduling protocols
- Proficiency in Athena EHR
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification and referral coordination
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
