Accounting Assistant

• The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the provision of data entry and reconciliation functions of Columbus Capital

• Journal processing for trust entities and corporate transactions
• Balance sheet reconciliation and accounting for various subsidiary entities
• Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable – recording invoices, loading payments, managing enquiries
• Bank account and fee income reconciliations
• Ad-hoc tasks to support the finance function
• Action other tasks or duties due to business exigencies or as deemed necessary by Management to achieve business goals

• Providing timely data entry
• Delivery of a high degree of accuracy
• Working with tight deadlines
• Assist management with ad-hoc tasks
• Liaise with management located in Sydney

• This position will require interaction with all team members at all levels. Integral interactions will be with other members of the Philippine Branch Office admin team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any Accounting related degree
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
• A minimum of three (3) years relevant accounting experience
• Familiarity with PFRS
• Understanding of end-to-end process of accounting

• Experience with with Microsoft Business Central – Wiise Accounting software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Time management and multi-tasking skills – able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong team player
• Self-starter – able to work without direct supervision
• Strong organizational abilities
