You’ll lead by example—driving technical excellence, adopting the right technologies, and developing people through hands-on leadership.Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 4–5 software engineers
Oversee the development of new features on the Beakon EHS platform
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Work across the full software development lifecycle aligned to the product roadmap
Communicate progress and identify delivery risks where needed
Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical decisions
Promote good engineering practices including testing and documentation
Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
Review team performance and provide constructive feedback
Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and empowerment

Skills and Experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, working with varied audiences
Experience managing change and resolving conflicts constructively
3+ years’ experience working in Agile software development environments (e.g. Scrum)
Proven experience delivering enterprise applications using PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and JavaScript
Experience with SuiteCRM integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and AWS-hosted infrastructure
Front-end development experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
Solid database development skills, including query optimisation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker
Ability to guide teams on best practices across architecture, security, testing, and delivery
