GrowthAssistant is looking for a Senior Accountant (Controller/CPA) for an e-commerce business in the US. The Role

Ownership of full financial records, including day-to-day transactional reporting and financial close. The financial close will be conducted monthly, with additional procedures for quarterly and year-end closes (including but not limited to posting journal entries, reconciling account balances, and general ledger accounts for our clients, etc.).
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to maintain financial integrity
Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Supervise the bookkeeping operations, guaranteeing precise and punctual recording of financial transactions
Keep financial records organized and current
Responsible for the procedures for accounts payable and accounts receivable to guarantee prompt payments and smooth cash flow
Collaborate with vendors and clients to resolve any inquiries related to billing or payments
Ensure adherence to pertinent accounting standards, regulations, and optimal industry practices
Analyze financial statements to identify trends and provide recommendations for accruals and adjustments
Mitigate financial risks by implementing efficient internal controls and risk management protocols
Administer financial controls, procedures, and systems to protect company assets

The Requirements

4+ years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant is a must-have
3+ years of experience working with Quickbooks, Xero, or similar software is a must-have
Must have prior experience as the Controller/Lead for a finance team in a start-up, hyper-growth, or small organization (accountable + responsible)
Must be proficient with financial statement preparation and analysis
Must have exposure to full financial close process and financial statement prep (IS, BS, CF)
Experience in e-commerce bookkeeping and accounting is strongly preferred
Experience with inventory-based businesses and US sales tax - a HUGE plus!
Should be highly responsive/engaged, can manage time timeline/priorities, proactive, receptive to feedback, highly organized, can multi-task, and has great attention to detail.
Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written)
Must work on graveyard shift following any timezones in the US
