Key Responsibilities Client Services Operations (CSO) Support Prepare and review workpapers to support tax return and financial statement preparation. Assist in ASIC compliance, including company registrations and maintenance of corporate registers. Oversee client communication workflows, ensuring timely and professional responses. Coordinate the preparation, collation, and distribution of tax and financial documents for digital signature. Manage ATO payment plans and liaise with regulatory bodies when required. Monitor and update workflow systems to ensure task progression and timely completion. Oversee invoice processing and client billing for the practice. Complete various administrative and ad hoc tasks to support the wider team. Accounting & Taxation End-to-end preparation and review of: Financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders. Income Tax Returns (ITRs, CTRs, PTRs, TRTs). BAS/IAS statements and GST reconciliations. Perform and review client bookkeeping, including: Bank reconciliations Accounts payable and receivable management Payroll and superannuation processing Month-end journals and adjustments Ensure accuracy and timeliness of bookkeeping records to support tax and compliance work. Ensure compliance with ATO lodgement deadlines and accounting standards. Participate in meetings (virtual) where required and support strategic planning discussions. Technical & Advisory Work Assist in developing tax strategies alongside the manager and principal. Prepare Division 7A loan compliance schedules and minimum repayment calculations. Review and ensure accuracy of FBT returns and associated client records. Maintain awareness of changes to Australian tax legislation and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. Identify and communicate potential value-add opportunities or risks to client managers. Qualifications Completed a relevant accounting degree Experience Minimum 18-24 months experience in Australian public practice accounting. Skills Strong technical knowledge across tax, compliance, and business services Proven experience in preparing and reviewing financials and tax returns. Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, Class Super, and cloud-based workflow tools. Proactive approach to managing deadlines and client expectations Commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
