Role Description Monitors the company's compliance by ensuring that tax-related accounts are reconciled, and that documentation and records are organized, complete, and readily available. Liaises directly with regulatory agencies in relation to registration, auditing, application of certifications, refunds, and other compliance-related issues or operations. Performs regular compliance operations, including preparation of tax returns, financial reports, account schedules, summary lists, sworn statements, and other required documents. The officer is responsible for ensuring the timely submission and payment of these requirements to various regulatory agencies such as the BIR, SEC, BOI, and local government unit. Provides documentary requirements, analysis, and reconciliations while coordinating with the company's consultants, lawyers, and auditors to complete various statutory audits, transfer pricing studies, expatriate PH taxation, VAT refund applications, and other tax-related initiatives. Works closely with the company&aposs internal accounting team to ensure correct financial recording and documentation requirements such as invoices and receipts. Conducts an annual review or assessment of the company&aposs tax exposure and proposes corrective measures. Monitors changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, initiates implementation, and conducts department- or company-wide trainings if necessary to expand policy awareness or updates. Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant is required. Has at least three years of relevant experience and expertise in taxation and BOI regulations. With hands-on experience handling statutory and tax audits. Demonstrates a strong ability to analyze, interpret, and implement rules and regulations. Proficient and advanced in MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Exhibits strong attention to detail skills. Communicates effectively in both oral and written formats and possesses strong coordination and pleasant interpersonal skills. Highly analytical and organized. Flexible and a team player.
