Director of Community Who we are Dream Bigger is a platform that unlocks values-aligned partnerships for Filipino-led startups. Our services are designed to create high-trust, high-impact relationships among founders, mentors, investors, and partners with shared values and vision to uplift Filipino lives. Since 2021, Dream Bigger has provided training, mentorship and access to values-aligned capital for 35+ early-stage Filipino Founders based in the Philippines. We've hosted or co-sponsored 50+ events and co-created content that have touched thousands of people around the world. About the team Community & Partnerships is an office under the Dream Bigger CEO. This unit focuses on ensuring high-trust engagement and high-impact collaboration across our various partner groups. These groups include Dream Bigger founders, alumni, mentors, angel investors, capital partners, and ecosystem partners. This team is the innovation engine behind Dream Bigger's long-term growth strategy, as it brings to life Dream Bigger's core values through community activations and helps catalyze lasting, win-win partnerships to advance Filipino-led startups toward global scale. What you'll do In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape the community strategy of Dream Bigger so we can add value to all partners on our platform and create structures for them to help one another. In practice, this largely involves bringing our core values to life in and through events, such as Dream Bigger's annual summit alongside investor immersion trips, dinners, roundtables, retreats, and webinars. You'll be responsible for creating, implementing and continuously improving our community events and activities, in collaboration with our partners. A successful Director of Community will have experience operating in partnership and relationship management roles, and has helped lead substantial change within a group. Responsibilities Define Dream Bigger's overarching community and events strategy, with responsibility for the annual events calendar and budget. Understand the needs and priorities of Dream Bigger's founders, mentors, investors, and partners and create structures to serve these needs. Define and own scalable, repeatable playbooks, tools, templates, and techniques to deliver best-in-class events and community activities. Partner directly with local leaders and volunteers to execute events and community activities. Define and own continuous improvement processes to ensure community activities are achieving intended outcomes. Forge new values-aligned partnerships to grow our community. Develop content to support our community, including newsletters, social media posts and website content. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements You have 5+ years of experience in building communities in the Philippines. You have experience planning and executing events (e.g., large scale conferences, roundtables, webinars, retreats). You have an owner mentality: you take pride in your work and view what you do as a part-owner and builder of Dream Bigger. You have an ability to create processes that help us scale, while keeping the flexibility needed to innovate. You have high intellectual horsepower and a strategic mind that can understand a complex. business and develop an innovative engagement plan that addresses these nuances. You have exceptional communication skills (in-person, virtual, and written). You have high EQ and an ability to genuinely connect with stakeholders across all levels. You are results-oriented and have a proven track record of delivering felt impact. You enjoy navigating complex projects and challenges, and thrive in ambiguous situations. Preferred qualifications You have professional work experience in the venture ecosystem with deep expertise in marketing and partnership management.
