The incumbent will contribute to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for GA - Direct Functions clients and support the continuous evolution and delivery of the expense advisory team. The role, under general supervision, is responsible for conducting complex financial, accounting, and economic analyses, including detailed calculations and internal and external reporting. The position provides a challenging opportunity to learn about various businesses, gain an understanding of operating and control environments, play an integral role in fulfilling key deliverables, and work with seasoned professionals of accounting, audit, and financial reporting backgrounds.Responsibilities
  • Support the monthly forecasting cycle by updating templates and collaborating with clients to gather expense/FTE feedback.
  • Understand trends and use appropriate judgement to build forecasts.
  • Prepare month-end commentary on variances, trends, and key metrics.
  • Update Power BI Dashboards and distribute results to clients.
  • Assist with the annual planning cycle including delivery of results to GA Segment BU.
  • Prepare Journal Entries with appropriate supporting documentation for approval/releasing.
  • Work with Onshore and Accounting Operations teams to investigate specific spend items and client inquires.
  • Support Project and BAU Initiatives of Global Expense Team
  • Assist with ongoing analysis of workflow processes and establishment of new procedures, improve and re-engineer current processes to streamline and gain efficiencies.
  • Assist with various expense transformation initiatives as they arise (i.e Anaplan, Expense study).
  • Support the Technical Leader in building a high performing team by ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service through proactively promoting client centricity.
What we are looking for
  • University degree in accounting, finance, or business management and or recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA is a plus).
  • 4 years or more of progressive experience in Finance within a large multinational organization.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to communicate financial concepts and results in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner (verbal & written).
  • Proficiency with MS Applications (including Office & Power BI) with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Knowledge of Anaplan, Essbase Cubes and Lawson Knowledge (or other complex GL package) is an asset.
  • Excellent customer focus and commitment to quality.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, using sound, independent judgment, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with effective collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse environments and cultures.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-performing and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests.
