- Assist Spanish-speaking patients with inquiries and appointments
- Answer inbound calls and respond to patient queries in a professional and compassionate manner
- Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
- Provide and handle eligibility, benefits of coverage, claims, and prior authorization
- Provide bilingual support and assistance to patients throughout their healthcare journey
- Schedule and reschedule appointments accurately
- Follow up with patients regarding payment and insurance matters
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- At least 2 years in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment as a Spanish Bilingual Patient Service Representative.
- Heavy calls (inbound and outbound) experience
- Proficiency certificate in Spanish
- Has experience in scheduling appointments
- Proven work experience as a Patient Service Representative or similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Amenable to work in a graveyard shift (at any US time zone)
- Experience in ModMed (Modern Medicine) is a bonus
