This role supports Manulife’s global investment operations by ensuring accurate, high‑quality, and timely trade processing across multiple asset classes. You’ll help maintain the integrity of the trade lifecycle through close collaboration with front‑office teams, brokers, custodians, and global partners. As a senior specialist, you’ll expand your technical and operational expertise, drive process improvements and controls, and guide junior team members—all while helping deliver seamless investment services to our clients.Position Responsibilities

Perform daily trade support activities including matching, settlements, post‑settlements, claims handling, and first‑level quality checks.
Resolve trade breaks, mismatches, and reconciliation issues, coordinating with Front Office, Brokers, Custodians, and internal teams.
Maintain and enhance procedures, controls, and documentation to ensure consistent high‑quality operational support.
Conduct root‑cause analysis, validate Sequence of Events, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Provide guidance and training to junior team members and new hires.
Proactively identify and escalate issues, mitigate operational risks, and support process automation and improvement initiatives.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with global onshore and offshore counterparts.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in Trade Support, Middle Office, Investment Operations, or Fund Accounting.
Strong knowledge of securities instruments including equities, bonds, FX trades, and time deposits.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage complex tasks, and perform in time‑sensitive environments.
Experienced in creating metrics, reports, or presentations for stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of trade lifecycle, investment transactions, and various asset classes.
Working experience with Bloomberg, Aladdin, SimCorp Dimension, or custodian portals.
Strong background in data management, pricing, settlements, reconciliation, and transaction processes.
Experience in process improvement, issue escalation, and conflict resolution.
Exposure to automation initiatives or system enhancements.
