A Logistic Assistant works with delivery drivers to deliver products to customers. Delivery Assistants are responsible for all tasks with the exception of driving, such as loading and unloading the delivery vehicle, interacting with customers, and filling out paperwork to record deliveries. Most Delivery Assistants work full time, and many work overtime as well. This is a fast-paced, outdoor position that requires the ability to continually lift items and carry packages that can weigh as much as 50 kilos. Early starts and late finishes are common with this job, and people in this role often work weekends and holidays to cover busy periods. Applicants for this role should have excellent physical fitness, great customer service skills, and the ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines.Assist the Logistic driver with loading and unloading the delivery vehicle;Deliver products to customers;Help the Logistic driver navigate to each destination on schedule;Record delivery logs;Report to the Warehouse/Operations Supervisor if there are any issues with a delivery or problems with meeting a customers schedule of acceptance of deliver and help resolve the problem, if possible.Collect customers paymentsCommunicate with the customers to ensure they are happy with the service they received;Ask for customers feedback to resolve a customers complaints or issues, if necessary;Work with the main office to update the driver of any route changes, assist with navigating to locations, and keep tract of schedules;Unload the delivery vehicle at the end of each day and help keep the delivery vehicle clean and tidy at all times in preparation for the next day use;Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by Warehouse & Logistic Officer /Operations Supervisor and/or General Manager.
