Innovation Planning Manager (Packaging)

- Lead end-to-end project management for packaging development and new product initiatives not covered by the PLM process. Act as the Center of Excellence for innovation and subcontracting purchase orders.
- Organize and lead project kick-off meetings, track timelines, and ensure alignment across key partners including Brand, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Warehouse, Tollpackers, and Suppliers.
- Conduct feasibility studies with tollpackers, lead packaging trials, and develop mock-ups. Ensure packaging solutions meet quality, cost, and operational standards.
- Own and handle contracts with tollpackers and packaging suppliers. Ensure compliance, negotiate terms, and be responsible for amendments in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
- Support local market needs by handling bundle governance and leading cross-functional teams in SAP QA or TME environments for product innovation projects .
- Champion quality standards across all stages of packaging development-from supplier qualification to final distribution-ensuring product integrity and continuous improvement
- Guide and develop team members (if applicable), and run ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by leadership.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Work Experience: At least 10-12 years of experience in supply chain and project management, preferably in the tobacco or FMCG industry.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, with strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SAP, especially for project and supply chain processes
- Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
- Functional & Leadership Skills:
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives
- Analytical demeanor with a focus on process improvement and execution perfection
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and regulatory requirements in the Philippines
