As a Junior Transactional Accountant , you will be expected to handle the tasks listed below with minimal assistance from Senior Transactional Accountants, consulting them on more complex client issues as needed. You will complete full bank reconciliations independently, identifying errors in bank feeds, unpresented checks, and other discrepancies. Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Day Shift, Mon - Fri 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM Work Setup: Permanent WFH Perks: Day 1 HMO, Above-market salary, Global exposure What do you need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a similar field is required Less than a year of Australian accounting experience is preferred Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary High level of organization, self-motivation, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills are required Willingness to learn, show initiative, and be a positive team player is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is a must Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask are necessary Ability to understand the broader business context of accounting information is required Experience with Australian bookkeeping or taxation is advantageous but not mandatory Expertise or knowledge in using Xero or MYOB Accounting Software, inventory software, and accounts payable automation tools would be beneficial but not required What awaits you in this role Junior Transactional Accountant: It is expected that this person be able to complete the tasks listed below with limited assistance from Senior Transactional Accountants, liaising with them on more complex issues that might arise for the client. Bank Reconciliation: Complete full bank reconciliation without assistance, identify bank feed errors, unpresented chqs etc. Sales Invoices' Create sales invoices, repeating invoices, issue statements, credit notes. Setup invoice email templates, edit basic invoice settings Purchase Invoices: Process invoices via Xero or 3rd party applications such as Dext & Hubdoc. Set supplier rules, code accurately to GL based on source document, ensure correct treatment of GST Fixed Assets: Prepare asset register as drafts for PH Senior Tax Accountant to register, after which depreciation to be run quarterly, Process timesheets, wages for salaried employees, process leave applications, ensure leave accruals are correct, process deductions and reimbursements, setup salary sacrifice Payroll Processing: and additional withholding, process basic employee last day (excluding redundancies, ETP etc) GST review: Conduct a GST review of data entered and pickup errors in treatment of GST Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure GST, PAYG, Super, wages payable is reconciling to Payroll, reconcile all bank accounts, including leases on loans Profit & Loss Analysis: ability to review all relevant GL items and identify variances, errors and inconsistencies that need to be brought to the attention to Senior Tax Accountant BAS preparation: Prepare BAS estimate and BAS for Senior Tax accountant to review prior to sending to Client Managers for approval Quarterly and/or Monthly Tasks: Complete payroll reconciliation reports, draft management reports for PH Senior Transactional Accountant to review EOY: Prepare Payment Summaries for review by Client Managers, complete basic EOY reconciliations for payroll & GST Why choose us HMO coverage upon hire Permanent WFH set-up Competitive salary Day shift schedule Prime office locations Direct exposure to international clients Realistic career growth opportunities Upskilling through Emapta Academy Diverse and supportive work environment Total of 20 leaves to be used on your discretion Whom you'll work with: Our client, a prominent player in the accounting industry, specializes in providing personalized financial solutions across diverse sectors.
