- Responsible for the day-to-day technical operations, maintenance and reliability of facility infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime, safety, energy efficiency, asset performance and supplies/consumables availability.
- Ensures that the workplace remains clean, safe, fully functional, and compliant, enabling employees to focus on their core responsibilities without operational disruption.
- This position plays a critical role in preventive maintenance execution, technical supervision, vendor oversight, and continuous improvement of facility systems and services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life cycle.
- Ensure annual Preventive Maintenance (PMS) programs are completed on schedule and documented properly.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess facility conditions, cleanliness, orderliness, and operational readiness.
- Identify defects, safety hazards, compliance gaps, and performance inefficiencies; initiate corrective actions.
- Perform routine inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural components, and other critical systems.
- Recommend and implement improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and energy efficiency.
- Manage and oversee all repair and maintenance activities, ensuring quality workmanship and timely resolution.
- Prioritize service requests based on criticality and business impact.
- Ensuring work permits, safety requirements, and coordination protocols are strictly followed.
- Validate completed works prior to signing off.
- Supervise and coordinate technical trades (electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, contractors).
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and approved specifications.
- Inspect materials delivered and installed to confirm alignment with quality and contractual standards.
- Monitor workmanship quality and adherence to scope of work.
- Conduct onboarding orientation for contractor personnel covering:
- Maintain proper inventory of tools, critical spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure availability of fast-moving and critical components to avoid operational downtime.
- Support asset tagging, tracking, and lifecycle monitoring.
- Monitor warranty records and servicing intervals.
- Identify recurring issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Propose technical improvements to enhance uptime, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Contribute to ISO audit preparation and compliance improvements.
- Ensure adequate technical staff coverage during all operational shifts.
- Coordinate standby arrangements for after-hours emergency support.
- Monitor service response times and resolution performance.
- Provide technical support in renovation, fit out, and improvement projects.
- Review plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Assist in tender evaluation and contractor selection.
- Ensure as-built drawings are updated and properly archived.
- Monitor project timelines and escalate delays or risks.
- Inspect daily contractor activities and verify compliance with approved permits and safety procedures.
- Validate variation works prior to endorsement.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise contracted staff including housekeeping and technical trades.
- Ensure proper documentation of service reports and completion certificates.
- Coordinate with Finance to validate invoices against completed works and approved contracts.
- Assist in preparing quotations, bid comparisons, and technical evaluations.
- Support maintenance budget planning and cost tracking.
- Ensure procurement aligns with approved technical specifications and budget controls.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate and updated maintenance records, inspection reports, and service logs.
- Update FM dashboards including:
- Maintain organized records of vendor contracts, permits, warranties, and compliance documents.
- Support ISO 9001, 41001, 45001, and 14001 documentation requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Apprenticeship/Vocational Training in Smart Office tools or Microsoft Office 365
- OSH Practitioner
- Leadership experience (direct supervision preferred)
- Preferably with 1-2 years of experience in Project Management
- At least 1 year of experience in Administrative or Facilities-related work
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to work night shifts or extend work hours when required
