Purpose of the job Primarily: Develops, plans, coordinates, and evaluates cyber training/education courses, methods, and techniques based on instructional needs. Secondary: Improvement in the overall security posture of delaware by increasing in the number of employees who complete security awareness training. Also, the reduction in the time it takes for employees to report security incidents. Tertiarily: Ther eduction in the number of security breaches or incidents related to human error and the reduction in the cost of security incidents or breaches. Business Environment Main characteristics: Global scope, all delaware entities Target group: 5000+ people Run continuous security awareness training program, including trainings, simulations (phishing, crisis), policy learnings, surveys Plan and execute annual program, monthly activities Involve local security champions, localize the security awareness program with their active participation (localize the content and the language) Key dimensions: Number of Direct Reports: 0 2 / 4 Key contacts: (internal - external) Internal: members of the IT department, People of delaware External: NVISO Security Consulting Firm Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security awareness program for the global organization. This includes identifying the target audience, developing training materials, and creating a schedule for training sessions. Plan and conduct regular training sessions for our people (and dedicated target groups) to increase their awareness and knowledge of cyber security risks and best practices. This includes providing virtual training courses, policy documents and phishing simulations to help our people understand how to recognize and respond to cyber threats. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of delaware's cyber security awareness program. This includes collecting feedback from people, conducting assessments to measure the impact of the program, and making recommendations for improvements. Collaborate with other teams within the organization, such as the Local Security Champions, IT department, Legal and the Communications team, to ensure that cyber security awareness is integrated into all aspects of the organization&aposs operations. This includes working with other teams to develop policies and procedures related to cyber security, and providing guidance and support as needed. Requirements Education: BA degree Experience Basic knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001) Understanding of risk management and assessment processes Familiarity with security technologies (e.g., email security, antivirus software, secure communications) Ability to develop and deliver training and awareness programs Basic understanding of incident response procedures Behavioural Competencies Motivated to grow and learn Excellent communicator, able to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and candidates in person, online, in writing, and on the phone Willingness to consistently provide high levels of customer service Positive attitude towards challenging situations and multi-tasking Excellent time management skills Self-motivated with the ability to work individually and as part of a wider team Willingness to learn new skills and develop existing ones Must be committed to making 'anything possible' with a 'can do' attitude Functional Skill in coordinating training programs Skill in developing and executing technical training programs and curricula Skill in identifying gaps in technical capabilities Skill in talking to others to convey information effectively Skill in utilizing feedback to improve processes, products, and services In case the Cyber Security Awareness and Training Coordinator doesn't have extensive experience in these areas, they should have a willingness to learn and a strong interest in cybersecurity.
