JOB DESCRIPTION The Jr. Software Developer is primarily responsible for designing, testing, and implementing software development projects. This position helps to achieve organizational objectives regarding systems management, application development, and system automation. RESPONSIBILITIES Being responsible for the design, maintenance, development, writing, implementation, and testing of software applications supporting both internal and external business requirements Troubleshooting current automation, systems, and software to work through bug fixes and improvements Providing updates and documentation, including but not limited to release notes, scope of work, status reports, and bug reports Assisting and collaborating with the team on projects, enhancements, and troubleshooting Facilitating requirements elicitation, design, and architecture for new and existing software development projects Ensuring documentation standards are upheld for all coding/project work Assisting with design and driving continuous improvements within the software development life cycle QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related discipline 1-3 years of prior experience in software development and/or software development projects Development languages: JavaScript (main), Node Red (secondary), C# (Acumatica, PT / CP) Database: MongoDB, SQL Server (if relational DB is needed) Server: Express Frontend: Vue Server runtime: Node Server: Windows (10 / 2019) CSS Framework: Bootstrap CSS preprocessor: SCSS Testing: mocha, chai, cypress Linting: ESLint Experience with multiple testing strategies (Unit, Integration, Regression) Experience working in an Agile environment, preferred Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) Knowledge of operating system concepts (Windows, Linux) ABOUT OPTIBPO OptiBPO is a Cloudstaff company and is a dynamic workplace buzzing with smart, talented, and motivated professionals who serve exciting clients worldwide.
