About the Role: The Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team in efficiently sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials, supplies, and services necessary for business operations. Responsibilities Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services. Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with concerned departments to clarify purchasing requirements Maintain updated records of suppliers, purchase orders, and pricing. Communicate with vendors regarding order status, changes, or discrepancies. Verify and process invoices for payment in collaboration with the finance team. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed. Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Procurement Manager relevant to the position. Qualifications Education Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Experience Fresh Graduate or at least 1 year of experience in the same field is an advantage. Training Skills Negotiation and organizational skills Customer service orientation Can manage time and meet deadlines effectively Familiarity with supply chain and logistics process is advantage Knowledge of purchasing Proficiency in Microsoft Office
