Supervisor, Actuarial under the Local reporting team will conduct the reinsurance administration of the reinsurance treaties maintained by the company. He/she will work closely with internal parties such as Finance, Products, Investments, Marketing, Operations and Regional, as well as external counterparts such as reinsurers, auditors, and the Insurance Commission. Position Responsibilities Prepare timely monthly and quarterly reports by coordinating with different teams (reinsurance SSC, claims team, local controllers and valuation team). This includes monthly/quarterly balance checking, coordinating monthly/quarterly updates in the system, requesting new accounting units, and any issue-handling that may arise for the given reporting period. Prepare monthly/quarterly premium bordereaux and claims bordereaux per treaty. Confirm statement of accounts from reinsurers for settlements of premiums or collection of recoverables. Handle processing and monitoring quarterly settlements/collections per treaty in a timely manner. Review if the accounts are processed and are reclassed correctly per account. Coordinate the implementation of new treaties and addenda with different teams involved (products, accounting, reinsurance SSC and valuation team). Ensure that the new treaties and addenda are implemented in reinsurance system and in valuation system. This involves checking the availability of the fields in the bordereaux, and spot-checking sample policies to ensure that the computed values are as expected. Prepare annual reinsurance report submissions for local, regional, auditors and insurance commissions. Help in other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
