As a Backend Software Engineer for the CENS platform, you will be responsible for developing backend logic, workflows, and integrations that power our digital notification services. You will work alongside our API Architect and frontend team to build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend services using Azure Functions and cloud-native components. This is a key role in extending the functionality of a high-impact digital platform in the fast-paced and rapidly growing semiconductor industry.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and extend backend services in Azure Functions and serverless architecture to support CENS features.Collaborate with frontend developers to support Vercel-based rendering strategies and Uniform-driven dynamic content needs.Implement business logic and workflows, including user management, notification orchestration, and email flows.Work closely with the API Architect to support integration patterns and data flows with internal systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Fabric).Maintain backend code quality, documentation, and observability through logging and structured error handling.Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver cohesive end-to-end functionality and enable rapid iteration.Contribute to ongoing enhancements, including scalability, compliance, and system resilience.Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and code reviews.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.Strong experience building cloud-native services with Azure Functions or similar serverless platforms.Knowledge of RESTful API design, authentication flows (OAuth2), and backend security best practices.Experience with event-driven patterns and Azure services such as Service Bus, SendGrid, and Blob Storage.Familiarity with composable architecture and tools like Uniform.dev and Vercel (plus).Understanding of scalable backend design and composable architecture principles.Personal SkillsExceptional interpersonal skills, including facilitation and negotiation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Motivated by achieving business outcomes.Practical and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.Work Culture
