The Tool Service & Maintenance team provides value add by: Overseeing or working in Tool & Die service operations and adhering to internal working rules and guidelines. Operating all shop machine tools and hand tools (e.g., precision lathes, drills, jig borer, milling machines, etc. ) Reading specifications and using specialized IT programs to design and calculating the tools. Constructing and repairing tools, gauges, intricate fixtures with synchronizing parts, gauges, etc.. Assisting in initial ramp-up procedures for new tools, in testing and analyzing dysfunctionalities. A job at this level: Provides setup and maintenance procedures for an assigned part of production, with a limited number and kind of machines. Supports higher-level technical maintenance and repairs technicians in their work. Follows work instructions, maintenance and repair procedures as given to provide reliable service. Documents work and results in the systems.
